Tyres can make all the difference to confidence on the road. Metzeler or Pirelli

The bike has covered 11 thousand miles now. In that time I have not been impressed with the tyres. The only good thing is that they have lasted so long. They still are legal and have tread. On the road though, there has been a few times when they have slipped from underneath in dry and wet conditions. I feel that they are not warming up quick enough as the grip level is not as good as other bikes I have owned. The pirellis and Avons fitted on my Ducati 916 warmed up quick and gave no feeling of slipping as these in the dry or wet. I hope to research some new tyres for the front 120 70 / zr 17 M / c (73w) and the rear size 180 55/zr 17 M / c (73 w).
